As a result of the new housing development off Loughborough Road, there will be a new Toucan crossing built at the roundabout that currently gives access to Rushcliffe Business Park. The carriageways will be widened and new footways and cycleways built to facilitate access into the new development for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians.
In addition, Via East Midlands, working on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council, are planning to install extra safety measures including new white lining, anti-skid surfaces and a new refuge island for the Toucan crossing. There will also be tree works, upgraded street lighting, new sewers and improved surface water drainage in the area.
The works are due to take place between September 2020 and March 2021, so please expect some traffic disruption in the area for the next few months.
