The Framework Knitters Museum on Chapel Street is delighted to announce that the Duke of Devonshire has recently agreed to become their new Patron.
The Duke, whose main residence is the world-famous Chatsworth House in Derbyshire, is well-acquainted with the museum, having visited the site in the past (pictured).
In accepting the invitation to become their new Patron, the Duke sent his congratulations on the recent awards that the museum has received. He is already looking forward to his next visit, which hopefully will take place in spring 2016.
The Duke joins the existing Patron, Sir Neil Cossons OBE, who is eminent in the museum world, having been Chairman of English Heritage and many other prestigious organisations.
Everyone at the Framework Knitters Museum is thrilled to have two such distinguished Patrons on board as the museum moves forward with its exciting plans for the future redevelopment and expansion of the Chapel Street site.
