LITTLE SEEDLINGS
We have done it again – all the children and parents that attend Little Seedlines Childminder’s put on their wellington boots, hats, gloves and warm coats to brace the rain and cold weather on Saturday 9th March in Rushcliffe Country Park, to walk a mile and raise money for Red Nose Day.
As last year, the children were great – walking, running, scooting and we even had a pair do a three legged walk. All the children were presented with a certificate for taking part and we all enjoyed some homemade cakes at the end. For more details about Little Seedlings, please contact Jane on 0774 802 5281.
HERMITAGE PRESCHOOL – SEEKING VOLUNTEERS
The Hermitage Preschool has been running in the village for over 40 years and provides excellent childcare facilities. However, the current volunteer committee which manages the preschool finishes in April and they desperately need new members to keep the preschool open. The committee carries out administrative and fundraising duties and therefore the school cannot exist without it. If you are a parent, carer or local resident with a few hours to spare each month, you may be able to help. There are a variety of roles to be filled and the main skill we require is enthusiasm. If you can help in any way, please call or text us or speak to a member of staff: Chairperson: Ben Sage 07736 957 313, Secretary: Katie Howarth 07867 520 799.
