Articles
The content for the next month’s newsletter is discussed by the The Rudd Working Group at the beginning of the previous month, e.g. content for March is discussed at the start of February. It’s therefore helpful if you can send us your article ideas at least one calendar month in advance.
Note that the article needn’t be submitted in full until the copy deadline, which is the 15th of the month. Articles received after this date may be included at the Editor’s discretion and if space permits.
Where possible, please email us your ideas and written-up articles rather than providing hard copies. It’s also helpful if you can provide an image or two to go with your story; we can scan this electronically if you only have print copies.
Important news?
If your article merits immediate publication, we may be able to add it to the Parish Council website news feed on the Home page straightaway. Please contact us to discuss your story.
Dates for the Diary
The deadline for inclusion in the next issue of The Rudd is the 15th of the month. Diary dates will normally be put on the Parish Council website Diary page straightaway for events taking place in the next 6 to 8 weeks. Please include a line or two of detail stating the nature of the event, date and time, location and any admission fees.
Inclusion and editing
Please note that we can’t guarantee the inclusion of any article or diary date, either in The Rudd or on the Parish Council website. The decision of the Working Group, led by the Editor, is final. Note that your copy may also be shortened or edited at the Editor’s discretion.
Sponsor The Rudd
Local businesses can sponsor The Rudd for a modest fee. Your contact details will appear in a banner on the front page – please see previous editions for examples. Please contact the Parish Council office if you’re interested.
