Nottinghamshire Children’s Centre Services (NCCS) runs a variety of groups and sessions to support new and expecting parents, and young children. The sessions take place at Bingham Children’s Centre and Abbey & Lady Bay Children’s Centre.
Virtual B.A.B.E.S Breastfeeding Group: Appointment / referral only sessions (please call the centre). Meet other breastfeeding and pregnant women; you can also receive support from a trained Breastfeeding Peer Supporter.
New Parents Group: this is a 6 week course for new parents. The group will offer you ideas around supporting your child’s wellbeing and new ideas for play.
Virtual PHEW: Appointment / referral only sessions (please call the centre). Group for parents who are expecting a child or have a child aged 0-1 where a parent is experiencing low mood, anxiety, finding being a parent difficult, struggling to cope, social isolation and/or loneliness.
Little Talkers: These 45 minute sessions are for 4 weeks and designed for children aged between 2 – 3 to share ideas and strategies to support development in speech, language and communication
Children’s Centre Appt. Sessions: Appointment / referral only sessions. Advice and guidance from a member of the children’s centre team around aspects of family life.
