Easter Sunday and Monday saw another photographic exhibition held in St Peter’s Rooms, put together by the History Society, with hundreds of visitors. The exhibition featured post war pictures up to 1970. Many people were able to recognise themselves or friends.
New pictures and identification of people pictured were welcomed by the Society.
An exhibition about the three Rorke’s Drift survivors buried in Ruddington was also included and photographs taken of young people in the period uniforms were popular.
A beautiful patchwork quilt made by Society member, Jean Walker, was raffled and raised £200 for the Society funds.
