The Parish Council was notified of a planning application for land East and West of Nottingham Road and South of Clifton.
It was an outline application for residential development up to 3,000 dwellings; employment development up to 100,000 sqm of floorspace; retail development up to 2,500 sqm of floorspace; community buildings; leisure uses; schools; gypsy & traveller pitches; green infrastructure including new community park.”
This application was discussed at the Parish Council Planning Meeting on 19th August and an objection sent in: “Increased traffic through Ruddington cutting between the A60 and the new development. Heavy vehicles through the narrow village streets are a particular problem. If the plans are agreed there should be a condition of traffic management measures being put in place to mitigate. The extension to the tram included in the plan should be a condition of any approval.”
