Midland Regional Printers Ltd (MRP), owned by Ruddington’s Stephen Tew, have scooped a prestigious award for a range of their labels at the 2016 FlexoTech International Print & Innovations Awards.
The company, located in New Basfored, was shortlisted in the ‘Best use of flexo within a single forme’ category and was delighted to be named the winner at a black-tie awards ceremony and dinner at the Hilton London Metropole in October.
Stephen, who lives in Manor Park with his wife, Patricia, said: “It was a great honour to win this award for a range of labels we produced for food manufacturer, Pureety’s, Ultimate Marinade Glaze product.” Stephen (second from right) was joined at the awards ceremony by MRP colleagues Stephen Bates, Catherine Tew and Matt Seaford.
MRP was established almost 50 years ago in 1969. The company recently made the bold decision to change its focus from general commercial printing to packaging and labelling – a move that’s definitely paying off.
“We now employ around 50 staff, with a great mix of fresh blood and experience,” says Stephen. “I think there’s a bright future ahead for MRP and winning the Flexo-Tech award is a sure sign that we’re going in the right direction.”
