A water colour painting session at Rushcliffe Country Park is the latest success story from Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC)’s Rushcliffe Social Prescribing team’s Friendship Calendar, part of the Reach Rushcliffe project.
The initiative, co-ordinated by RBC’s Community Development team and Health Development Officer, Sofi Melvin, funded the session last month.
Over a dozen people met at the park’s meeting room to learn tips on water colour painting whilst meeting likeminded people, trying something new and making lasting friendships.
The event was part of the Calendar’s free activities that take place each month and are engaging ever more local people. It was delivered by local resident, Deb Webster, who is a member of the Ruddington Art Society
