Ruddington Parish Council (RPC) Chairman and armed forces veteran, Graham Fletcher, is pictured raising the ceremonial flag outside St Peter’s Rooms for the start of Armed Forces Week on Monday 24th June.
An annual event, Armed Forces Week is an opportunity for everyone to show their support for those defending the UK and its interests as part of the armed forces community, which includes current service people, veterans, cadets and their families.
Celebrations during the week also include Armed Forces Day, which takes place on the last Saturday in June each year to help boost morale for service members and give communities a chance to show their recognition.
