Saturday May 21st saw the village alive with the sound of music. The “Ruddington Big Sing” event organised by the Ruddington Community Choir saw 300 singers from various choirs come to the village. St Peter’s Rooms was the hub for the day.
The participants attended workshops in central locations including the Methodist Church, the Hermitage, Framework Knitters and even the White Horse. There was a community sing in St Peter’s Church at lunchtime and it also hosted the gala concert that formed the finale of the day.
Local businesses supported the venture by offering discounts on food and drink to participants and donating resources.
An incredible £460.90 was collected during the day for the Teso Development Trust through voluntary donations.
A successful day all round.
