Last minute preparations are now underway for the Ruddington Christmas Fayre, which takes place this Saturday from 12 noon to 5pm. This year’s Christmas Fayre is set to be the biggest and best so far, so make sure you come along and join in the fun! The High Street will be closed to traffic to make way for outdoor stalls, whilst indoor stalls will be set up in St Peter’s Church, St Peter’s Rooms, the Methodist Church and Project Body.
A packed programme of activities will take place around the village, including the Wakes Fair on the Village Green, Christmas stocking-making in the Chapel at the Framework Knitters Museum and a magician in St Peter’s Rooms. There’ll be singing and dancing fuelled by mulled wine and lots of winter treats, and as always, Santa will be on hand with presents for the children. The event will culminate in a tree-lighting ceremony in the churchyard, followed by festive carol-singing and bell-ringing.
You can find the full programme of events below. Hard copies of the programme, including a handy map of the village, will be available to collect from St Peter’s Rooms on the day.
