Some of our members have recently untaken CPR and defibrillator, training provided by Nottinghamshire Fire Service. The participants agreed that it’s made them more confident should they ever have to use one of the eight defibrillators in our community that are publicly-available 24/7.
Do you know where they are?
The defibrillators are spread around the village and have either been installed by organisations or been made possible due to the fundraising efforts of various groups.
I, along with the help of James Norton, have created the pictured map for your information.
However, should you ever have to ring the emergency services if you suspect someone may be having a cardiac arrest, they’ll tell you where the nearest one is. And don’t worry about using it – the defibrillator actually talks you through what to do until the emergency services arrive.
