Did you know that Ruddington has an ever-increasing presence in the world of social media? Apart from the many individual businesses, clubs and organisations in the village that have their own pages, there’s also a growing number of general information and ‘shared interest’ groups. Here are a few of the most popular:
Ruddington Village (Facebook and Twitter)
General information pages for Ruddington residents, offering details of upcoming events, local services and so on. All residents are welcome to contribute to the Facebook page or respond to Tweets.
Ruddington Mums (Facebook and Twitter)
A place for local mums (dads and other residents also welcome!) to discuss or share information on parent-focused issues such as local childcare services and mum and toddler groups.
Ruddington Reach (Facebook and Twitter)
Ruddington Reach is a brand new local business directory that aims to connect local businesses with their clients. They use their Facebook page and Twitter feeds to share information about their activities and post news about local businesses.
Ruddington Wellness (Facebook)
An organisation that provides a network for Ruddington people to come together to improve the overall wellbeing of the community.
Ruddington Fun (Facebook)
This is the Facebook page for the Ruddington Fun school holidays activity scheme. By ‘liking’ the page, you can easily keep track of forthcoming events and find out how to get involved.
Ruddington Recycle (Facebook)
One person’s trash is another’s treasure… Ruddington Recycle is here for local people to exchange information about unwanted items, in the hope of finding them a new home rather than discarding them.
How to find the pages
To find any of the above pages or Twitter feeds, simply log into your Twitter or Facebook account and enter the name of the group into the Search box. If you don’t have Twitter or Facebook accounts yet, these are quick and easy to set up – but make sure you choose your Privacy settings carefully when using Facebook.
