We are in the final stages of planning for this event and now just need to keep everything crossed for good weather!
We have 10 private gardens open as well as the Harewood Gardens allotments and the gardens and allotments at St Peter’s School. There will be face painting for the children and a free garden treasure hunt. Live music will be provided at the Methodist Church by the Ruddington Community Choir (Saturday) and the Nottingham Ukelele Orchestra (Sunday). Refreshments will be available at the Methodist Church Hall and at 200 Loughborough Rd on both afternoons. The Frame Breakers and The White Horse will both be open and the Country Cottage Hotel will be offering strawberries and Prosecco on Sunday afternoon only. Plant/ cake/produce and book & toy stalls will also be on offer.
Each open garden and the Methodist Church will have a supply of entry programmes so that visitors can choose which route to take around the village. The gardens are on Loughborough Rd (2), Kirk Lane, Easthorpe St, Flawforth Avenue, Sycamore Close, Shaw St, Asher Lane, Bladon Rd, Churchill Drive and Elms Gardens – please look out for the balloons!”
Please do support this event if you can. All proceeds will go to Save the Children and Action for Children.
Date 25th/ 26th June Time: 2.00pm to 6.00pm Admission by programme £3.00, children free
