The second Ruddington Open Gardens will be held on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th June 2018, from 2pm to 6pm on both days. All proceeds from the event will go to Save the Children and Action for Children.
There’s still time to join in by opening your garden. Your gardens doesn’t have to be big or splendid, just a pleasant place that visitors will enjoy wandering around. In fact, last time, some of the most popular gardens were amongst the smallest. Even a display of hanging baskets at the front of your house would make a welcome addition to the programme!
As well as open gardens and allotments, there’ll be stalls selling jams, chutneys and honey; a children’s “rock trail”; live music at the Methodist Church; refreshments at several locations and vintage bus rides.
We’re especially delighted that the Framework Knitters Museum is offering free entry on both afternoons to anyone with Open Gardens programme.
If you’d like to be involved in any way, please email me on je.piggott@btinternet.com or get in touch via the Parish Office. Many thanks.
