As part of the revised policing arrangements for Ruddington, our Beat Manager and PCSO will now only have access to a pool car from West Bridgford and will no longer have a dedicated police car. The practical effect of this policy change means that a call to them during their working hours may not be dealt with as quickly if they are required to walk or cycle around the village. The other question raised is how, when and whether they will even manage to get to the village on those days when no pool car is available to them. Some members of the Parish Council are extremely concerned that this is going to result in a serious reduction in Ruddington policing and feel that it is important that you express your opinions.
If you have a view on this aspect of your local policing service, please either email or write care of the Parish Council Office using the heading “POLICE VEHICLE”. All views will be collated and forwarded to the senior officers responsible for policing in our area.
