– HELP THEM TO SOAR EVEN HIGHER!
The Football Club has raised money for local / national charities through events such as: ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, skydives and Boxing Day football matches. Charities to benefit include: The British Heart Foundation, Meningitis UK, and Ash Lea School.
This year they looked to the sky to support the Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance, which is close to the club as when a senior ladies team player had a suspected broken leg, they swooped to her aid.
In December, the club raised funds through Christmas Raffle Draws, and a Boxing Day Charity Football Match. Over £1,000 was raised and the club hope to reach a total of £1,500 by the end of the season. The Club thanks everyone that bought tickets, donated prizes / money and who took part in the Boxing Day match. Many thanks also to the Red Heart for their support and hosting the raffle draws – and the Parish Council for their support.
Ruddington Village FC is a Charter Standard football club with 16 teams, providing the opportunity to play football in a friendly atmosphere – from 5 years to adults. Run entirely by volunteers, the club now seeks sponsors for a Children’s Six-a-Side football competition and club Presentation Day – both in June. They have sponsorship opportunities large and small on offer and would love to hear from people that may be able to help to keep them flying in supporting the community.
For more about the club or how to sponsor them, please contact the General Club Secretary, Andy Scott: 07910 663 158.
