Active pupils at St Peter’s Junior School, Ruddington, have raised £1,800 for Sports Relief by running a mile around the school’s grounds.
All the school’s pupils aged from 7 to 11 completed the mile challenge by running two laps of the schools fields and playground, raising the money in sponsorship from family and friends.
“We’re very proud of the children for completing a personal challenge to run the mile, as many had not run that distance before,” said head teacher John Mapperley. “And we’re also very grateful to parents, families and friends for donating so much in sponsorship.”
