Rush 4 Health, the popular annual event at Rushcliffe Country Park, has been renamed Sunday Funday for 2015. However, it will still be offering the same wide variety of outdoor sport and health-related activities as in previous years.
Sunday Funday takes place on Sunday 13 September from 12 noon to 5pm. Organised by Rushcliffe Borough Council and NHS Rushcliffe Clinical Commissioning Group, the event aims to inspire people to eat well, move more and live longer.
This year’s activities include kite-flying, pony trekking and a climbing wall, whilst sports will include rugby, football, cricket, hockey and fencing. There’s plenty for the younger kids too, with an inflatable education zone and a mini farm with goats, pigs, a donkey and even an alpaca.
Older children and adults will enjoy the cookery demonstrations and samples from chefs and local food producers, whilst finding out about healthy eating and cookery techniques.
Mini health checks and lots of health advice will also be on offer to help you keep in shape.
Admission is free and you can find out the latest details at the Sunday Funday Facebook page.
