The brand new leisure centre at Rushcliffe Arena is now open. The new centre will replace the previous facilities both at the Arena itself and at Rushcliffe Leisure Centre, bringing all the Borough Council’s indoor leisure facilities for our area under one roof.
The facilities include a 25 metre main pool, a beach-themed fun pool, a six-lane indoor bowls rink, sports hall, squash courts and a state-of-the-art health and fitness suite. There are a range of classes and activities for all ages and abilities, and the facilities can be hired out for meetings, conferences and parties. Find out more, including opening times and prices, at www.leisurecentre.com/rushcliffe-arena.
Rushcliffe Arena is on Rugby Road in West Bridgford. There’s plenty of parking for cars and bikes, or you can catch the NCT 10 bus from Ruddington which stops outside the Arena. The journey takes just a few minutes and buses run up to every 15 minutes at peak times. You can view the latest timetable at www.nctx.co.uk.
Rushcliffe Arena is also the new home of Rushcliffe Borough Council. Staff and councillors moved into purpose-built offices above the leisure centre in December 2016 after 34 years in the Civic Centre on Trent Bridge. However, despite the move, you’ll still need to visit the Community Contact Centre if you want to speak to someone face to face. It’s at the police station on Rectory Road in West Bridgford.
