Rushcliffe Country Park has received its 16th consecutive Green Flag Award, acknowledging the green space as one of the best parks in the UK.
The outdoor area has once again been named amongst 2,208 UK parks and green spaces that have received the award, which sets the benchmark standard for the management of recreational outdoor spaces across the UK and around the world.
Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Portfolio Holder for Communities and Climate Change, Cllr Abby Brennan, joined the Friends of Rushcliffe Country Park volunteer group and Council representatives to raise the flag.
The award is a sign to the public that the space boasts the highest possible environmental standards, is beautifully maintained and has excellent visitor facilities.
