Good news from Santa headquarters! The Rotary Club of Rushcliffe can announce that Santa and his sleigh will, once again, be travelling around local villages and West Bridgford in December.
The club has been able to maintain this long-established tradition even during the coronavirus epidemic. Through your generous giving, we have raised many thousands of pounds for good causes – much of it distributed locally.
We hope this year to return to “door knocking” rather than just riding around. If you plan to support the charity work of the club, please start putting aside some cash as our volunteer collectors on the walking rounds won’t be able to take debit or credit cards.
Although we have plans to undertake 11 walking rounds and 8 static collections during December, we won’t be able to visit every street. Information on dates and places the sleigh will be visiting will be published next month.
We’re always pleased to hear from individuals or organisations interested in volunteering to help with collecting. You can get in touch through our website, www.rotary-ribi.org/clubs/homepage.php?ClubID=1333, or find us on Facebook.
