Santa Claus will be visiting our village again this year, thanks to the Rotary Club of Keyworth and Ruddington. Santa and his sleigh have become popular annual fixtures in Ruddington, with Santa and his little helpers – volunteers from Ruddington Colts Football Club – touring our streets and estates each December to get everyone in the festive spirit and raise money for good causes.
Every year, the Rotary Club’s Santa and sleigh raise thousands of pounds for well-known local charities such as the Notts and Lincs Air Ambulance, Hope & Homes for Children and Rainbows Hospice. The branch also supports a range of national causes and campaigns, such as helping to eradicate polio from the face of the planet.
With festive tunes aplenty, Santa’s visits are great fun for the children, so please show our local Rotary Club your support and give generously if you can. Here are this year’s dates and places:
Thursday 11 December – Churchill Drive estate, Old Station Road and Pasture Lane estate
Tuesday 16 December – Camelot Street, Clifton Lane, Packman Drive and Rufford Road
Thursday 18 December – Musters Road, Barleylands and Elms Park.
All visits will take place in the evenings, between 6pm and 9pm. If you’d like to find out more about the Keyworth and Ruddington Rotary Club, please visit www.keyrudrotary.org.
