Rushcliffe Country Park is set to receive an invasion of Santa Clauses when the Cystic Fibrosis Trust holds its annual Santa Fun Run on Sunday 27 November. The Fun Run starts at 10.30am at the Visitors Centre. The 3km route then follows the natural Heritage Trail around the lake and back to the Centre, with participants free to walk, jog or run as they choose. Each entrant will be given a free Santa suit on registration, which can be customised, and there are prizes for the Best Dressed Santa, the Most Sponsored Santa and the Biggest Santa Team.
The event is open to all ages, although under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult. It costs £10 to register (£5 for children, students and senior citizens) and each Santa is asked to raise at least £30 in sponsorship. All funds raised will be used to support the Cystic Fibrosis Trust’s research and their work with the 9,000 people in the UK who live with Cystic Fibrosis.
