Just a few weeks after the hugely successful Summer Fayre (see separate article), planning is now well underway for Ruddington’s annual Christmas event. This year’s Christmas Fayre will take place on Saturday 3 December and is set to be the biggest and best so far. The High Street will be closed to traffic to make way for outdoor stalls, whilst indoor stalls will be set up in St. Peter’s Church, St Peter’s Rooms and The Body Centre.
There will also be a small Wakes Fair on the Village Green with rides and attractions for all ages, as well as plenty of entertainment, with singing and dancing fuelled by mulled wine and lots of winter treats. As always, Santa will be on hand with presents for the children and the event will culminate in a tree-lighting ceremony in the churchyard, followed by festive carol-singing.
