Once again, the Radcliffe on Trent Male Voice Choir is offering a FREE singing course in April, to celebrate spring and a release from lockdown – it’s a great opportunity to sing away the Covid blues!
We invite male singers of any age and ability to learn to sing and to join the choir subsequently if they wish. It’s an eight-week course each Thursday evening in Radcliffe on Trent. Participants will be introduced to singing techniques, have their singing range assessed and will learn new songs along with the existing choir. The choir has a varied and interesting repertoire built up over time and new songs will be added in the workshop.
The workshops take place at the Methodist Church Hall, Shelford Road, Radcliffe on Trent, NG12 2AG. They’ll start on Thursday 7th April from 7pm to 9pm and then run each week until Thursday 26th May, when we’ll have an informal mini-concert for family and friends to show off our new skills.
Participants don’t need to be existing singers, or even good singers. All are welcome and the ability to read music isn’t essential! Each participant will have a mentor to help and guide them with the music, explain the different elements and voice ranges in the choir and introduce them to our friendly social side.
To register your interest, please call our Media Officer, Bill Hill, on 07972 013 614 for information as we near the start of the course. If you miss the first session, don’t worry as you can always drop into one of the following sessions and catch up.
