Ruddington Gardeners’ Association (RGA) is a now a very active and friendly village group. We have something to offer everyone, irrespective of whether they have a garden plot, a small patio area, an allotment or only a window box. Our meetings are on the last Wednesday evening of each month, 7.00pm for 7.30pm, in The Hermitage Centre (January to June and September to November).
Meetings usually feature illustrated talks on topical subjects by well-informed speakers. Various social activities, such as garden and nursery visits, take place during the summer. There is advice on gardening problems, the opportunity to purchase seed at discount prices and regular plant sales. Come along to our meetings to see what RGA has to offer – a warm welcome awaits everyone!
The Village Show last year, organised by RGA, was a great success, with excellent displays of vegetables, flowers, fruit and home produce. The children’s entries were inspirational! Why not enter our show this year on Saturday 16 September 2017 in St Peter’s Rooms? Bring the family and make the 2017 Village Show another big success.
The Show Schedule with the classes is on the RGA website (www.ruddingtongardeners.co.uk) and hard copies are available from St Peter’s Rooms. Entry is free with prizes for all the children that take part. Make 2017 the year in which your family grows the largest sunflower head, the longest runner bean or the heaviest marrow!
