During the summer holidays, the annual Summer Reading Challenge was held at our local library. Children aged between 4 and 11 were invited to complete the Challenge by reading 6 library books, collecting rewards along the way.
We’re really pleased that 131 children completed this year’s Challenge, 60% of those who started. All the children really enjoyed this year’s Space Chase theme and we particularly enjoyed the alien underpants they made!
We’re very grateful to the children, parents and carers in Ruddington for all the support they give to our local library. The library team would also like to thank the children and staff at St Peter’s and James Peacock Schools for promoting our Summer Reading Challenge. It’s been a great year once again!
