Yes, it’s back! Most people thought Swing into Shape didn’t exist anymore, but we’re still alive and kicking after over 60 years. I myself have been teaching for more than 24 years; I had a break due to illness, but I’m pleased to tell you that my new Swing into Shape class is now up and running on Tuesdays from 11am to 11.45am at the Framework Knitters Museum Chapel. Parking is available at the left hand side of The White Horse Inn car park, just around the corner on Church Street.
This is a 50-plus class (my oldest pupil is 90 this year; I’m so proud of my Mum!) No floor work or jogging is involved, just fun exercise to music with the emphasis on keeping mobile within your own capabilities. From a personal viewpoint, I’ve had fibromyalgia for 30 years and have found that if I don’t move, it I lose it!
The cost per class is £3.50 on a “pay as you go” basis. This includes tea or coffee and, of course, the chance to have a good natter. I’m already enjoying seeing some of my old friends and looking forward to making lots of new ones. To join us at Swing into Shape, please come along to a class, or call me on 0115 921 6056 for more information.
