Local residents and businesses are invited to join this year’s Great British Spring Clean to sparkle their streets, parks and open spaces.
The annual campaign, run by the charity Keep Britain Tidy, aims to help clear local communities of litter.
Anyone can join the effort that runs nationally from 25th March to 10th April, and volunteer to litter pick in their community for as little or as long as they can give.
All the necessary equipment is available from Rushcliffe Borough Council’s grounds maintenance partners, Streetwise Environmental Services Limited, by calling 0115 914 8408 or emailing streetwise@streetwiseenvironmental.co.uk.
The Council’s Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Communities and Climate Change, Cllr Abby Brennan, said: “We know there are already so many dedicated individuals and groups across Rushcliffe that help keep our streets, parks and open spaces even tidier.
“As part of the Great British Spring Clean, we’re encouraging even more residents to join the national effort, arrange a litter pick and help take even greater pride in their communities.
“Thank you in advance for helping make Rushcliffe continue to be a great place.”
