Join us at the Ruddington Great Get Together Picnic on the Village Green on Saturday 23rd June from 12.30 to 3.30pm.
Invite your neighbours, friends and family. Pack up your lunch, blankets and games for the kids and join us for some fun in the sunshine!
This year, for the more sedate, we’re also holding a Great Get Together Tea Party at St Peter’s Rooms from 2pm to 4pm.
Cake and drinks will be available, and local musical trio, Songs 4U, will entertain us with songs of yesteryear.
This event will be free of charge thanks to the generous donations of local people and support from the Parish Council.
The Great Get Together began two years ago following the murder of Jo Cox MP. Communities all over the UK will come together inspired by Jo’s belief that “we have more in common than that which divides us”.
The first day of Ruddington Open Gardens also takes place on Saturday 23rd June. Why not combine the two? Pick up a programme from Ruddington Co-op on the day or in advance from Thomas James Estate Agents.
There’ll be lots going on, including free rides on a 1950s Birmingham Corporation bus (although donations are invited to Save the Children and Action for Children!) and free entry to the Framework Knitters’ Museum with an Open Gardens programme.
See you there!
