The Honeycomb Christian Charity shop in Ruddington opened on 19th December 1985 and recently held a 25 year celebration service in St. Peter’s Church. It is a visible Christian presence and is well respected in Ruddington for its work and outreach as well as being the visible arm of “The Saved to Serve Trust” charity.
The shop is about showing Christ’s love in action and as such has given gifts of over £200,000 to worthy needs. Its support and gifts have met the needs of relief, hardship or distress locally, nationally and internationally.
The Honeycomb is mainly staffed by members of the local churches but also is a place where some young people have come to do part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and an opportunity for students from Nethergate School to do work experience.
