Six years ago, I was diagnosed with a chronic health condition: Multiple Sclerosis. It was a shock and over time, I’m adjusting to the impact it’s having on me. During the process, I must admit I’ve had a few “wobbles” – literally when my mobility is being shaky, and also psychologically and emotionally.
I’m aware that lots of us suffer moments or periods of uncertainty and wobbliness! It may be due to a diagnosis of a condition, an illness or post-operation blues, a bereavement, job loss or relationship breakdown, or many other reasons.
There are numerous excellent support services out there but, whilst being with people with the same issue may be helpful, it can also sometimes be depressing.
I’d be delighted to hear from anyone who, for whatever reason, is subject to the “wobbles” and would like to meet up socially within Ruddington. The remit for the Jelly Group (so-named due to the wobbles!) would be to socialise with people who are experiencing similar feelings. Not to wallow, but to truly emphasise and support each other in our own community whilst having a cuppa and cake.
