Now live and accessible to residents in Ruddington
The £12,500 funding available is intended for ‘individuals and families in need who are struggling to afford their heating and energy bills over the 2024/25 winter period, whether due to low income, reliance on the benefit system, disability or other hardships‘.
The funding is supported by the Ridge Clean Energy Help Fund and is being administered by Clifton NG11 foodbank, run by the Trussell Trust.
It’s open to residents living in Ruddington and the local area. Authorised referral organisations will send information through to the foodbank who’ll issue the £50 fuel vouchers (please note the vouchers are for those with prepayment meters).
These can then be redeemed at the Premier Store on Southchurch Drive and the Co-op store on Farnborough Road in Clifton.
The vouchers are available from now until they run out, or until the end of March 2025, whichever comes sooner.
If you need to receive a free £50 voucher towards your energy bills this winter, please apply through one of the Clifton Foodbank referral agencies. These include St. Peter’s Church, the Clifton Advice Centre and the Trussell Trust’s Help through Hardship helpline on 0808 208 2138.
Your local Trussell Trust Food Bank, Clifton NG11 Food Bank, is based in The Hope Centre, Clifton, NG11 8AR. The trust is here to support anyone facing an emergency financial crisis by providing emergency food, toiletry and cleaning products parcels, prepayment fuel vouchers, butcher’s vouchers, advice through Nottingham Citizens Advice, job workshops through Futures and much more.
If you’d like to support the food bank, you can make donations at St Peter`s Church, Ruddington Co-op, Wilford Co-op or the Hope Centre. To find out more, please email info@cliftonng11.foodbank.og.uk
