The Parish Council has a new working group consisting of Councillors Graham Fletcher, Holly Law, Leo Lanzoni, Ken Piggott and Chloe Lewington.
The working group was formed to improve biodiversity and create spaces for nature on Parish Council land as well as making Ruddington a more attractive place to live and work. Most of their activities are limited to Parish Council land or property.
Recently, the working group planted trees in the open space off Vicarage Lane with one of Ruddington’s Tree Wardens, Geoff East. Geoff had been given the trees free of charge by Rushcliffe Borough Council.
The working group intend to sow wildflower seeds around the trees once the ground has been prepared, with the seeds also being donated by the Borough Council.
