It’s almost Halloween, which means some children will be dressing up and knocking on doors Trick or Treating.
For many people this is a bit of fun, but for others it can be intrusive. If you don’t want anyone knocking on your door, you can download a poster at www.nottinghamshire.police.uk/document/halloween-poster-sorry-no-trick-or-treat.
And if you’re out Trick or Treating and see one of these posters, please respect the homeowner’s request and don’t knock at the door. The general rule is that if people have a lit pumpkin at the front of their house or in their window, then they’re happy to receive visitors.
Have fun this Halloween… let’s keep the atmosphere friendly and respect our neighbours.
