A group of volunteers have developed a comprehensive questionnaire to provide Ruddington residents and businesses with the opportunity to have their say on the future of their village.
Many villages up and down the country are being affected by pressures such as population growth and aspirations of living in rural locations. Ruddington Village in Nottinghamshire is no different and in recent years has seen a substantial amount of change. The Ruddington Village Plan was born of the need of providing the village’s residents with a voice and opportunity to have their say on the future if the village, from issues such as parking, amenities, social calendars and heritage through to traffic and healthcare provision.
Gavin Walker, Chair of the RVP said: “The questionnaire will help ensure Ruddington remains a vibrant, viable and stable community. It’s been fantastic to work alongside the volunteers who have been working hard around their day jobs and families and applying their skills and knowledge to provide this opportunity for the rest of the village. It’s amazing what can be achieved when a group of strangers get together with the same agenda and passion for the place they live or work.”
The questionnaire will be landing through residents doors from the 7th September and will also be available online. Responses must be returned by Monday 5th October and results will be published in the Spring of 2016.
