The Framework Knitters Museum is a nationally renowned heritage site that’s a true gem for us to have at the heart of our village. But the success of this popular and historic tourist attraction does rely very heavily on volunteers – and this is where they’re hoping villagers with a little spare time on their hands may come forward to help.
They’re currently asking for potential recruits to get in touch – with a chance to make new friends, try something new and to gain experience in the heritage sector. Especially if you’re still looking for your first job, or in-between employment, they emphasise what a great addition to your CV this would be!
Trustee Faye Stenson explains that they’re especially keen to get on board individuals with an interest in fundraising: “What we really need are people with the skills and willingness to help with grant-writing applications, organise fund-raising events, help with promotional activities and perhaps write letters to major donors. We have an expert fundraising consultant on board to provide training, so it’s a great opportunity to learn new skills and be part of a team.”
