For many years, the older residents of Ruddington and the surrounding area were lucky enough to have a weekly Coffee Club where they could enjoy a warm drink, a biscuit and a chat with others in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Unfortunately, Covid-19 came along and put a stop to this friendly group being able to meet.
As things return to normal, the lovely Lorna, who founded this Coffee Club, and her counterpart Pat feel that, sadly, they’re unable to restart the Club. However, two village residents, Gwen Eyre and Carol Jaggers, have stepped up and are more than happy – and really excited! – to continue running this lively group.
If you’re over 55 and would like a warm drink and a biscuit, and to meet with others for a chat in a safe, warm and friendly environment, come along to St Peter’s Rooms on Church Street on Wednesday mornings from 10am to 12noon.
Gwen and Carol will have the kettle on and look forward to welcoming everyone.
