A quiet after-work drink in Ruddington’s White Horse Inn turned into a ritzy night out in Dublin for six local drinkers on Friday 18 October.
Charles Street resident Gary Johnson was the lucky winner of a special Guinness promotion – held across a number of Nottingham pubs – which saw him and five friends whisked off to Dublin in a private jet.
The group, which included White Horse owner Tony Beecroft, enjoyed a whirlwind tour around the sights of Dublin before being flown back to Birmingham airport in the small hours and returned to Ruddington by limousine.
‘What an amazing night,’ Gary said on his return. ‘I still can’t believe it, I’m still buzzing!’
The promotion, which features air hostesses handing out a selection of Guinness-related goodies to fans of the black stuff, returns to the White Horse on Friday 15 November.
